Missing Teeth In Green Brook? Dentures And Implants Restore Smiles

Missing Teeth In Middlesex? Dentures And Implants Restore Smiles

If you have had years of dental problems or are embarrassed by your teeth, our world class team at Advanced Dentistry can help you find the restoration procedure right for you. You could be a candidate for complete or partial dentures or dental implants.

A removable replacement for missing teeth, dentures can be made in advance and positioned as soon as the natural teeth are removed. Our Advanced Dentistry dental lab creates dentures that look just like natural teeth: attractive, healthy teeth.

If you still have some healthy, natural teeth, you can benefit from dentures without having your healthy teeth extracted.

Partial dentures fill in the gaps, replacing missing teeth to complete a smile. Partial dentures can prevent natural teeth from moving. Many Green Brook cosmetic dentistry practices can complete these procedures in one day.

Many dental insurance providers cover most or all of the cost of dentures. Call us at Advanced Dentistry and we can help you find out if your dental insurance covers dentures.

Another alternative for Green Brook people with missing teeth is to receive dental implants. A dental implant is a permanent tooth restoration that is anchored into the jawbone, actually replacing both the root and crown of the tooth. Dental implants have many advantages, such as preventing jaw bone recession which can occur when natural teeth are removed. However, not all Green Brook area dentistry patients are good candidates for implants. Call Advanced Dentistry at 732-564-6037 for a dental implant consultation.

Dental implants can also be used to anchor a removable denture. The denture is ‘snapped on’ or attached to the implants for no-slip confidence.

The combination denture/implant smile restoration solution is being used successfully by many Green Brook dentists. It is usually more affordable than dental implant replacements for several natural teeth.

Replacing missing teeth will benefit your appearance and your dental health, improving your ability to eat and speak. If you are embarrassed to smile or laugh, it’s time to bring back your beautiful smile!

What Does A Missing Tooth Say About You?

Plainfield Mini-Implants When you meet someone in Edison who is missing a front tooth, what does that say to you? Do you wonder if they were in an accident? Do you automatically start making assumptions about their income, level of education and overall physical health?

Though it is extremely unfair, we are often judged (and misjudged) by our appearance. Even if a person is impeccably dressed and groomed, a missing front tooth detracts from the overall pleasing impression.

Here is a personal story from a woman who lost a tooth:

I lost my job and along with it my dental insurance, then a month later, one of my front teeth. It has been very hard to find work…. and I know the missing tooth has cost me several jobs.”

A missing tooth can be a big deal.

Dental implants not only restore oral health, they restore self-confidence. Dental implants are a permanent solution for missing teeth. Studies have shown that after more than 20 years, the vast majority of dental implants placed by oral and maxillofacial surgeons continue to function at peak performance. If properly cared for, dental implants can last a lifetime.

Dental implants are one of the cosmetic dentistry procedures we routinely perform at Advanced Dentistry to help our Edison clients regain the beautiful smile they once had. Not all cosmetic dental procedures are as extreme a dental implant. There are many minimally-invasive remedies for unattractive smiles.

Porcelain veneers instantly provide a perfect, gleaming tooth surface for Edison clients with broken or discolored teeth. Tooth whitening is a quick and affordable dentistry procedure in Edison that achieves dramatic results without requiring the removal of any tooth structure. Call Advanced Dentistry at 732-564-6037 for more information about smile design and restorative dentistry.

Attention Middlesex: Replace Your Dental Bridge Before You Lose Teeth

Attention Middlesex Replace Your Dental Bridge Before You Lose TeethHello Middlesex NJ visitors, welcome to Advanced Dentistry. Let’s talk about a tooth replacement option common in Middlesex NJ: dental bridges.

While dental bridges have restored smiles for thousands of cosmetic dentistry patients, they are not problem free. Many Middlesex NJ people with dental bridges find it impossible to keep the small areas around the bridge clean. This is not surprising because it is hard to get toothbrush bristles or dental floss under the bridge.

Of course bacteria has no trouble moving in and taking over without the Middlesex NJ dental patient even knowing it. When the decay reaches the roots of the surrounding teeth, it is not only painful, the person is at risk of losing those teeth also.

That is one reason why a dental implant is superior to a dental bridge. Most Middlesex NJ people with missing teeth are great candidates for dental implants.

A dental implant looks just like the beautiful tooth restoration on a high-quality dental bridge, but the important part is what you don’t see.

A dental implant is screwed directly into the jaw bone. It is not attached to teeth like the dental bridges traditionally used in Middlesex NJ. In a way, a dental implant is a more conservative tooth replacement because it leaves the adjacent teeth intact. The bone and gum tissue mesh permanently with the titanium post that serves as the replacement tooth root.

Dental implants do not have the same decay risk as the teeth that anchor dental bridges. Of course patients with dental implants need to brush and floss, but cleaning a dental implant is usually no more difficult than cleaning a normal tooth.

Dental implants have a far better track record than dental bridges. With proper care, a dental implant can last a lifetime for smile-smart Middlesex NJ folks.

If you currently have a dental bridge, you might consider permanently replacing it with a dental implant before the adjacent teeth are threatened with decay.

At Advanced Dentistry, dental implants can replace one or more teeth and can also serve as anchors for full or partial dentures. No more embarrassing slipping!

If you are interested in learning more about dental implants, I invite you to call Advanced Dentistry at 732-564-6037. I am Dr. Ralph Reilly and I provide cosmetic, sedation, implant and holistic dentistry. Call today to schedule a dental implant consultation. A beautiful new smile can be yours with dental implants.

Hate Your Dentures?

Park City Dentistry Implant Perhaps you have heard or seen the dental industry’s advertising about dental implants. Most Somerville NJ dentists claim that dental implant dentures can change your life. Does this sound like hype? Exaggeration?

Let’s look at the facts about dental implant anchored dentures:

Chewing: A dental implant denture can restore up to 95 percent of normal chewing function. How important is chewing? Can you chew easily with your current full or partial denture? Can you bite apples? When was the last time you ate a raw carrot?

Fit: Implant anchored dentures stay in place. An implant denture doesn’t slide around in your mouth and cause sores. Implant denture wearers who exercise regularly especially appreciate this benefit.

Appearance: How does your smile look? Can you smile confidently? How many denture wearers love their smile? Implant anchored dentures look like natural teeth. They don’t move when you smile, eat, talk, bike, swim, dance, golf, ski; you get the idea.

Bone health: When teeth are extracted, bone recession can occur over time (in fact, this happens in almost every case). Because a titanium implant is an artificial ‘tooth root’ inserted into your jaw bone, your bone has a better chance of staying healthy. If there are no other adverse conditions present, your jaw bone should remain strong and dense, just as if the original tooth root were there.

If you hate your dentures and live in Somerville NJ, why don’t you come in for a consultation about dental implants? At our cosmetic dentistry office, we can discuss all the particulars including procedure specifics, healing time and dental implant cost. Then you can decide for yourself if implant dentures will, as promised, change your life.

Advanced Dentistry on Jaw Bone Deterioration

Middlesex Jaw Bone Deterioration To remain dense, your jaw bone requires the continual stimulation and pressure of chewing, biting and talking. Each of your teeth has a root structure attached to the surrounding bone material. As each tooth absorbs the forces of everyday mouth function, it stimulates the bone to which the root is attached.

When a tooth is extracted, the jaw bone that previously surrounded the root structure begins to recede. Though tooth extraction is often the only possible treatment for our Bridgewater patients with tooth damage beyond repair, every effort should be made to preserve the root structure.

Fortunately, dental implants provide a new root which keeps the surrounding bone healthy and strong. A dental implant consists of a titanium post which is placed in the jaw bone. It replaces the original root and eventually integrates into the surrounding bone. After the implant has been placed and the surrounding bone has healed and meshed with the implant, a post is inserted into the implant. The new artificial tooth, or dental crown, is then attached to the post. Implant restoration is a safe and effective treatment for tooth loss.
